The NHL draft lottery is right around the corner, and teams are salivating at just the chance of getting Connor Bedard.
There hasn't been a prospect like this since McDavid. Someone like this could alter a franchise for decades.
Which franchise that is ? We'll find out soon. As far as the best fit, many people would prefer he go to a big market.
Bedard To the Habs?
Not only would Bedard be great for the hot hockey market Montreal is, he'd fit in quite well with their head coach, Martin St. Louis. Since coming to the team midway through the 2021-22 season, he hasn't had a single negative thing said about him as a coach. He basically turned Cole Caufield's whole season around.
As a player on the shorter side, St. Louis would be able to give excellent advice to Bedard, who stands at 5'11».
Whether it's Anaheim, San Jose, Columbus, Arizona or Montreal, Bedard is going to have an immediate impact in the NHL.
Where he does it is still up in the air. Montreal seems to be lurking in the shadows.
