Fans Noticing Mysterious Effect in Golden Knights Broadcast
It's a really strange thing, but very noticeable once pointed out. A keen-eyed user on Reddit posted a video of the most recent game between the Edmonton Oilers and Vegas Golden Knights, highlights from Sportsnet's YouTube channel.
Everything seems fine at first. Then you notice that the captain's C on Mark Stone's jersey, as well as the A on Alex Pietrangelo's seems to come in and out of focus regularly. At one point, Stone is in defensive position looking to block a shot, and there's no visible C on his sweater at all.
I'm not sure if this is a result of the animated board ads the NHL recently implemented that Commissioner Gary Bettman seems to be so proud of, but that's the only thing that makes sense at this point.
The animated ads have been glitching and cutting some player's body parts out of the picture completely for short periods of time. The league really needs to get this figured out.
