We can all agree that last night's intense game between the Leafs and the Lightning was probably the most entertaining game of the playoffs so far. After a heated exchange between Tanner Jeannot, the referees, and Maple Leafs fans sitting on the glass, former NHL legend Phil Esposito, who was on the Tampa Bay Lightning radio broadcast, had some choice words regarding the incident.

Many remember Esposito for his decorated hockey playing career, and his standing among the all time greats of the game. The NHL legend was on the Tampa Bay Lightning's radio broadcast last night covering game two of the quarterfinals, when things started to get heated.

Fans were letting Tanner Jeannot and Patrick Maroon hear it, and Esposito had a specific comment aimed towards one of those Maple Leafs fans.

You've got a fat woman who's yapping like crazy here, or is that a guy with long hair I can't tell

Esposito's comments may not seem like a big deal to some, but to others who struggle with obesity, his comments come off as hurtful and demeaning.

What do you think? Are Esposito's comments simply a product of his time, or should he have known better?
