According to ESPN's Kevin Weekes, the Chicago Blackhawks have reportedly signed top goalie prospect Drew Commesso to an entry-level contract.

Commesso, 20, was the Blackhawks' second round pick (46th overall) in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft and just completed his third season in the NCAA with Boston University.

The Norwell (Massachusetts) native is viewed by many in the hockey world to be Chicago's top goalie prospect and could be the future number one goaltender they've been looking for over the last few years since the departure of Corey Crawford in the Fall of 2020.

As Chicago goes through their rebuild and have key young pieces in their system now, along with the expected top-five pick this year, Commesso will be looked upon to play a big role to bring the Blackhawks back to the pinnacle of hockey.

In 34 games this season for Boston University, Commesso had a record of 24-8-0 with a 2.46 GAA, a .913 save percentage and two shutouts.
