AJ Greer and Nic Deslauriers drop the gloves in a heavyweight tilt
Last night the Boston Bruins won their NHL record setting 63rd game of the NHL season. Despite the two teams being on opposite ends of the standings, the Flyers gave the Bruins all they could handle. The Bruins won the game 5-3, but were out shot by the Flyers along the way.
During the 3rd period Nic Deslauriers looked to give his team a spark. The Bruins have shown this season that they aren't willing to back down to anyone and last night was no different. As Deslauriers looked for a dance partner, AJ Greer was happy to oblige. The two heavyweights dropped the gloves at center ice for a spirited fight.
Both players received 5 minute majors for fighting on the play and the Flyers would score less than 1 minute later, but unfortunately that was all they could muster.
