The Ottawa Senators are a good young team with a lot of promise, it doesn't look like they'll make the post season this year and the team has just announced two major players have been ruled out for the remainder of the year.

According to Bruce Garrioch of TSN, thd Senators will be missing Thomas Chabot, Jakob Chychrun and Travis Hamonic for the remainder of the season, take a look:

Chabot, 26, skated in 68 games this season, scoring 11 goals and 30 assists for a total of 41 points while being the Senators most relied upon defender.

Chychrun, 25, was the Senators prize deadline acquisition, and has only played in 48 games due to injury struggles. He has 9 goals and 24 assists for a total of 33 points.

Ottawa also announced that they would also be without Travis Hamonic for the remainder of the season as well.

With the Senators eliminated from the playoff race, the damage is done already, there's no need to have them try to play for the rest of the season.
