During Sunday night's game between the Nashville Predators and Toronto Maple Leafs, Matt Duchene was hit by a hard slapshot on the hand, causing him to leave the game. Duchene appeared to be in significant pain and possibly bleeding as he made his way off the ice. Adding insult to injury, the shot was fired by one of Duchene's own teammates.

With 56 points in 70 games, including 22 goals, Duchene currently holds the second-highest point total on the Predators.
