Since being traded from the Toronto Maple Leafs to the Washington Capitals, Rasmus Sandin has experienced a revival, having scored 12 points in 11 games so far. However, during Saturday night's game between the Caps and the Pittsburgh Penguins, he may have taken on more than he could handle.
In the second period, Sandin chose to engage in a fight with Josh Archibald of the Penguins. Unfortunately for Sandin, the spirited bout didn't last long as Archibald quickly landed some powerful punches, causing Sandin to fall to the ice.
The combatants were each given a five-minute major penalty for fighting. Ultimately, the Pittsburgh Penguins won the game 4-3 within regulation on a late go ahead goal from Evgeni Malkin.
