Tyler Seguin Slashed by a Skate, Forced to Leave Thursday's Game

Tyler Seguin was ruled out for the remainder of Thursday's game after just 3:21 of ice-time after suffering a skate laceration.

Seguin is not the first NHL player to go through it this season. So far in 2022-23, there have been several such instances of skate lacerations, most notably involving Evander Kane and Ryan Johansen.

TSN Insider Darren Dreger reiterates that NHL General Managers intend to address this issue during their annual meetings over the summer. Cut-resistant under garments could become mandatory to mitigate these occurrences.
