One of the bigger stories from the hockey world outside of the NHL this week involved goaltender Kasimir Kaskisuo. Despite only playing two games in the NHL his entire career, many recognize the name from his time with the Toronto Maple Leafs and Nashville Predators. Kaskisuo was suspended for five games earlier this week after getting upset over an overtime goal. Kaskisuo let his temper gets the best of him, and threw a water bottle at the officials, hitting a referee in the upper back.
Kaskisuo served the first game of his suspension Saturday as his team, Leksands IF, took on Frolunda in an SHL matchup. Kaskisuo posted the following picture to his Instagram account which was taken from his spot in the stands. Note the water bottle in clear view.
At least he has a sense of humour about it. Kaskisuo did apologize following his outburst, saying he acted in the heat of the moment but knows he made the wrong decision.
