The NHL's Department of Player Safety has fined Arizona Coyotes defenseman Jusso Valimaki the maximum allowable amount for slashing Anaheim Ducks forward Max Jones on Tuesday night.

Valimaki was initially assessed a five minute major and a game misconduct on the play.
