Arizona Coyotes officially unveil new alternate uniform

Back in October, the Arizona Coyotes announced a partnership with fashion designer Rhuigi Villaseño to help grow the team's brand and create an all-new third jersey.

After a leak earlier this week and a couple of teasers posted by the team on Twitter, the Coyotes have officially unveiled the new uniform, called "Desert Night".

The base colour of the uniform is burgundy with the wordmark 'Arizona' on the front in a sand colour. The kachina print can be seen on the sleeves of the jersey, as well as the bottom. As for the numbers and names on the uniform, they will also be sand-coloured. A half-moon is used for the captaincy "C", and a cactus is used for the alternate captain "A". Another interesting touch is the geckos inside the collar, which was used on Arizona's first-ever alternate uniform as a shoulder patch back in 1998.

To go along with the jersey, the entire kit will be burgundy, including the pants, helmets and gloves.

Arizona will wear these uniforms for the first time on Sunday against the Vegas Golden Knights. In total, the Coyotes will wear their new third jersey for 14 of their remaining 25 home games. Check out the full third jersey schedule below!
