The Winnipeg Jets announced on Friday that they've signed 2022 third-round pick Danny Zhilkin to a three-year, entry-level contract worth $2,739,999 million ($913,333 AAV).

"I am incredibly proud and honoured to sign my first NHL contract with the @NHLJets. Thank you to all of my family and friends who have supported me along the way. This is a dream come true, and I cannot wait to get started in Winnipeg! #gojetsgo ✈️" Zhilkin said in a post on Twitter.

Zhilkin, 19, was selected with the 77th overall pick during July's draft in Montreal. The Moscow native is currently in his third year with the Guelph Storm of the Ontario Hockey League.

In 25 games this season, Zhilkin has 27 points (13 goals, 14 assists), 17 penalty minutes and is a minus-four.
