Yet Another Stadium Feature Malfunctions at Arizona's Mullett Arena
Just 2 months after its completion, the Arizona Coyotes' temporary home facility still has lots of kinks to work out. Earlier this season, a Zamboni malfunctioned before a full-on brawl broke out in the stands.
The 5,000-seat stadium still needs added attention from operations staff, and in Friday night's game against the New York Islanders we got yet another glimpse of that. The door on the visitors' bench failed to close, causing a playing hazard, and the Islanders' equipment manager had to break out a sledgehammer to get it to shut.
The meme never ends with this saga, as there is seemingly a new issue to poke fun of each passing week. No larger conclusion needs to be drawn from this situation, at least not in my view.
It is quite funny, though.
