TSN's Darren Dreger mentioned recently that the Canucks would like to a young NHL centerman, as well as a young NHL defenceman, preferably right-shot.
If the Islanders happened to be a fit, Stefen Rosner of NYI Hockey Now suggests that the Canucks could have interest in top prospect Aatu Raty, who is close to NHL-ready.
Raty, a native of Oulu (Finland), was selected with the 52nd overall pick in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft by the Islanders. In his first full season in the Islanders organization with their AHL affiliate in Bridgeport, Raty has 11 points (six goals, five assists), ten penalty minutes and is a plus-five.
Per TSN's @DarrenDreger, we now know what the #Canucks will look for in return for Bo Horvat and others.
Do the #Isles have those pieces in the pipeline, and if so, would NYI part ways with Aatu Räty?https://t.co/JHYTt83sgZ— Stefen Rosner (@stefen_rosner) December 16, 2022
