Former Montreal Canadiens bench boss Claude Julien is returning to HC Ambri Piotta for the second time during the 2022-23 season in a coaching advisory role.
HC Ambri Piotta announced in a tweet that Julien will be returning to the organization on Friday and will remain with them until December 20th. It's safe to say that Julien is continuing to look for an opportunity to be a head coach again, whether that be in the NHL or abroad.
Julien, 62, has had quite the eventful year, which started with being head coach for Canada at the 2022 Winter Olympics. He missed the first game of the tournament after slipping on ice during a team bonding event and fracturing his ribs. Julien was able to return for Canada's second group stage game against the United States and then ultimately led them to a sixth place finish after losing to Sweden in the quarter-finals.
The Blind River (Ontario) native could possibly be on the bench when HC Ambri Piotta take on Geneve-Servette HC on Friday night.
⚪️🔵Da domani fino al 20 dicembre compreso Claude Julien tornerà in Leventina e metterà a disposizione di staff e giocatori la sua grande esperienza!
