Earlier this week, Jagger Joshua, a player on Michigan State, released a statement on his Twitter account calling out Ohio State and the Big Ten Conference for their lack of action after a Buckeyes player was given a game misconduct during a November 11th game for racially abusing Joshua.
Flash forward to late Tuesday night and Ohio State announced that they've suspended forward Kamil Sadlocha for the incident and sent him home indefinitely.
"I want to offer my sincere and heartfelt apology to Jagger Joshua. On behalf of Ohio State, I am so sorry," OSU Athletic Director Gene Smith said. "No student or student athlete should experience hatred or racism, and everyone should feel welcome. I have spoken with Michigan State athletic director Alan Haller, and I'm thankful Jagger is getting the support he needs."
While it's great to see that Ohio State made the decision to suspend Sadlocha indefinitely, it's very disappointing that the Big Ten Conference hasn't even acknowledged the incident or commented on it.
