2022 4th-overall pick Shane Wright has officially been sent to the AHL for a conditioning stint, per the Seattle Kraken.

For those thinking, players under CHL contracts under age 20 are ineligible for the AHL...
Normally, that would be the case. However, via a loophole in the NHL's collective bargaining agreement, any such player who sits out as a healthy scratch for five consecutive games is eligible for a two-week conditioning stint in the AHL. Afterwards, they must be recalled.
In Wright's case, however, the expectation is that he will be loaned to the Canadian World Junior team, whose training camp begins shortly after. Anything else would be a head-scratching decision, given his minimal usage thus far and the fact that Seattle isn't in need of his services.
Should the Kraken loan Wright to Canada for the WJC or keep him in Seattle?
