Arthur Kaliyev, OHL's most outstanding player finalist, signs three-year contract with the Kings

On Wednesday, Arthur Kaliyev signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Los Angeles Kings.

Kaliyev is a finalist for the Red Tilson Trophy, which goes to the most outstanding player in the Ontario Hockey League.

The 18-year-old forward won the Jim Mahon Memorial Trophy, recognizing that he was the top-scoring right wing in the OHL. He was a second-round pick in the 2019 NHL Draft and was fifth in scoring in the OHL with 98 points (44 goals, 54 assists) in 57 games.

Jordan Spence, a 19-year-old defenseman, also signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Kings. He earned the Emile Bouchard Trophy this season as the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League's top defenseman. He had 52 points (nine goals, 43 assists) in 60 games.
