The Anaheim Ducks are dead last in the NHL as it stands tonight, and they look fit for the role tonight in San Jose. The game is a gong-show, tied 4-4 through two, thanks to Jakub Silfverberg. Technically, the goal went to Timo Meier - his second of the game - but Silfverberg deserves all the credit.

The Ducks' spring of youth is deep and plentiful, but they look primed to get another young buck from this summer's draft. There are a handful of players scoring at record-setting paces in their respective junior leagues this year and could be a loaded draft. The top-ten certainly looks that way.

Connor Bedard, Matvei Michkov, Adam Fantilli, the list just goes on and on. Imagine one of these highly touted prospects joining Trevor Zegras, Mason McTavish, Jamie Drysdale, Troy Terry and the like.

The future could be special in Anaheim, but for now - we tank.
