After much speculation over the last few months, the Vegas Golden Knights organization has confirmed they'll be announcing the name and logo for their new American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate this coming Thursday.

VGK Chairman and CEO Bill Foley announced that the Vegas Golden Knights AHL affiliate unveiling will be in the form of a one-hour "Reveal Knight" special beginning on Thursday, May 28 at 7 p.m. (Pt)

The unveiling will be featured on KSNV-NBC News 3 Las Vegas and streamed live across all VGK social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Twitch.

Following the end of the 19-20 season, the Golden Knights organization is parting ways with their current affiliate, the Chicago Wolves. The organization purchased the rights to the San Antonio Rampage organization on February 6th, 2020 and submitted to the American Hockey League for relocation to the Las Vegas/Henderson area, which was approved later that month.

Vegas Golden Knights President Kerry Bubloz spoke on the unveiling;

"Three short years ago we were gearing up to unveil the NHL's newest franchise: The Vegas Golden Knights.

Today, we're more than excited to find ourselves back where we started as we prepare to launch our new AHL franchise in Henderson.

We had hoped to celebrate the day with our fans in person, but with the health and safety of our community at the forefront of our decision- making, we have decided to take a virtual approach.
This one-hour special will be packed with exclusive interviews, storytelling and, of course, the unveiling of our team name and logo.

We have no doubt this team will leave a mark on our city just as the Golden Knights have done and we can't wait for the journey to start."
