Though financial terms have not been released, the Anaheim Ducks organization has announced the signings of defensemen Christian Djoos and Jani Hakanpaa.

Both Djoos and Hakanpaa were set to become free agents following the end of the 19-20 season, and will now remain in Anaheim on one-year contracts.

Djoos, 25, was acquired from the Washington Capitals on February 24th. He's suited up for nine games with the Ducks, in which he's netted 3 points (1G, 2A.) Prior to the trade, Djoos captured a Stanley Cup Championship with the Capitals in 2018.

After spending the past four seasons with Karpat in Liiga, Finland's top professional league, Jani Hakanpaa signed a one-year deal with Anaheim as a free agent on July 3rd, 2019.

The 28-year-old defenseman had 13 points (1G, 12A) in 47 games with San Diego of the AHL before making his NHL debut against the Colorado Avalanche on March 4th. He would score his first goal on March 11th, against the team that drafted him in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, the St. Louis Blues.
