Following the game, Former Canadiens forward Tomas Tatar came over to greet his fellow countrymen and Montreal's two 2022 first round picks, Juraj Slafkovsky and Filip Mesar. Slafkovsky and Tatar are familiar with each other as they both represented Slovakia together at the 2022 IIHF World Hockey Championship.
It must have been a real thrill for the young Canadiens duo as Tatar has been one of Slovakia's best players over the past decade. In the video below, the trio are chatting and more than likely Tatar is giving Slafkovsky and Mesar some advice and being not only a great leader, but a solid human being.
