If anyone is tough enough to face the symptoms of COVID-19, it's former NHL enforcer Georges Laraque. The 43-year-old, who played close to 700 NHL games during his career, has confirmed that he has COVID-19.

"Well I am not invincible," Laraques posted on Facebook. "I have just been diagnosed with Covid, not the best news since I am asthmatic, but it will be fine!"

The novel coronavirus has been known to be particularly harsh on those with underlying respiratory illnesses, but Laraque seems to be in great spirits for someone facing a potentially exhausting battle.

Throughout the course of his 13-year NHL career, Laraque played for the Edmonton Oilers, the Phoenix Coyotes, the Pittsburgh Penguins, and the Montreal Canadiens. Since retiring, the native of Montreal has become a commentator for the french-language TVA Sports, as well as a host at 91.9 Sport radio. He also entered politics, serving as one of two deputy leaders of the Green Party of Canada from 2010 to 2013.

Over his 695 career games, Laraque racked up 1126 PIM.
