Colorado Avalanche sign goaltender Justus Annunen
On Thursday afternoon, the Colorado Avalanche organization announced their signing of Finnish goaltending prospect Justus Annunen.
The 20-year-old, who was drafted by the Avalanche in the third round of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, has been inked to a three-year, entry-level contract.
Serving in net for Karpat in Finland's top league (Liiga) this past season, Annunen posted an impressive 15-5-3 record. He lead the league in both save percentage (.929) and goals-against average (1.77).
In addition to leading the league, Annunen would also set a new Liiga record this year, posting 302 minutes and 5 seconds of consecutive shutout time.
