Anthony Davis is easily one of the best players in the NBA as of right now. The Los Angeles Lakers power forward is a superstar caliber player on both sides of the floor, as he doesn't really have any weaknesses. The question is: can he lead his team to a championship like Kawhi Leonard or LeBron James?

We won't judge from this season since he was acquired by the Lakers from The Pelicans in exchange for Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart and many picks for AD.

Anthony Davis can lead a team to the playoffs, if he has somewhat of a good cast around him. In seven years with the Pelicans, he reached the playoffs twice, it may not be a lot but with the players surrounding him, it is a great accomplishment. The best way to prove it is with the 2017-18 season. Davis led New Orleans to a 48-34 record with Jrue Holiday as the second option and that's pretty much it. Their bench for the playoffs consisted of Ian Clark, Solomon Hill, Cheick Diallo and Darius Miller. The Pelicans got out of the first round in four against the Portland Trail Blazers, but lost in the second round in five to the Golden State Warriors, the future champions of the Larry O'Brien. In those nine games, AD averaged 30.1 points per game with 13.4 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 2 steals and 2.3 blocks. If these statistics aren't superstar material, I don't now what is.

In 2014-15, as he was only 21 years old, he put his team on his back and brought them to 45 wins, with Jrue missing 42 games that season. So, Davis isn't only an individual talent. He is a constant danger for other teams and has the talent to be the number one guy for a playoff team.

Anthony Davis is easily the most dominant big guy of his era, without even a question. The fact is, the new NBA is ruled by quickness and three point shots. Even though he excells at it for a big man, it isn't his bread and butter. Of course, it isn't the best attribute to Kawhi Leonard's game and he still won the Raptors a championship last year, but he can guard anybody and pretty much do everything on a basketball court. AD can't because of his position. For this reason, Anthony Davis can't be the number one guy for a championship caliber team.

Aside from being able to be the franchise player for a championship team, he is the perfect co-star and it shows with the Lakers. Right now, he forms the best duo in the league with LeBron James. The King controls the offense with his playmaking and scoring ability, while AD is the leader at the defensive side, as he is easily a Defensive Player Of The Year candidate.

The Brow is an efficient scorer, one of the best defenders in the game, a floor spacer, an anchor and a leader. You can put this guy in literally any lineup and make them a top-tier team right away. He will produce no matter what the situation is with his versatility.

Anthony Davis could be a free agent this summer with no restrictions. Will he try to prove he can win a championship on his own and sign with another team like the Bulls (his hometown) or will he re-sign with the Lakers and try to get one with LeBron?
