Noel Acciari Reveals the Root of his Nickname 'Cookie'

One thing about the NHL and hockey in general has some of the best slang in the industry. It is just something that the culture has always done, will always do, and continue to do in style. Part of that shtick is being the nickname guy; much like in Animal House, there is usually one or two 'Blutos' in every group who assign nicknames for all the boys.

The St. Louis Blues newest forward, Noel Acciari, shared that his nickname in Florida was 'Cookie.' Decent nickname, not good, not great. But Acciari revealed the dark secret behind the nickname with the NHL:


No shame in that, who wouldn't sleep like a baby after a few Oreos and a few million dollars. Custom suggests that Acciari will be assigned a new nickname in St. Louis, so he can probably crush a whole sleeve of Oreos before a nap and be free of ridicule.
