Mark Davis, owner of the newly re-located Las Vegas Raiders, has officially announced his plan for the Raiders organization to aid in the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak.

On Friday, Davis announced the organization's intent, contributing $1 million dollars to combat the virus spreading throughout Las Vegas, a city of which he is now a permanent resident, following the team's relocation from the Bay Area.

Davis wrote in a statement regarding his pledge;

Las Vegas Is Our Home … And Together We Shall Forever Be.. #VegasStrong !!!

He spoke on the subject as well;

Everybody always talks about this area being so diverse and that it's just a bunch of people from everywhere else and that there's no cohesion. But I see everyone pulling together. I've seen the strength of this town. I've seen Vegas Strong and I've seen what these people do in times of stress.

This is my home, and I've seen how the people here respond. It's inspiring.

Las Vegas is currently under a state-ordered ‘stay at home' policy, in which all non-essential businesses are closed, gatherings of more than 10 people are not allowed and all non-essential outings are discouraged, as the city works to stop the spreading of the virus.
