Even if the NHL should return before June 30th, there won't be any games taking place in Calgary. City council has declared all events off limits until at least July 1st

“Even if before the end of June we are in a situation where we think we've seen the other side of the mountain, even if we're at a place where the number of cases are coming down, I'm no epidemiologist, but I don't think it's wise to say, ‘Hey everybody, let's have 17-, 20- or 35,000 people all in one space,'” Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi said

This also rules out games without spectators as it would require gatherings of more than 50 people once you include players from both team, coaching and medical staff, and broadcast personnel. Toronto recently cancelled city-led events for the same time period but did not extend the ban to private facilities like Scotiabank Arena, where the Maple Leafs play.

All of this may be a moot point anyway as having the NHL, or any league, return by July 1st seems like a long-shot. The number of cases of COVID-19 continues to increase in the United States and Canada, and health care staff are stretched to the limit while medical resources are in short supply.
