Joe Sakic Wins General Manager of the Year
Joe Sakic was named the 2022 recipient of the Jim Gregory General Manager of the Year award during the NHL entry draft on Thursday night. He has been the general manager of the Colorado Avalanche since 2013.
Over the course of nine years, Sakic took the Avs from the basement to the pinnacle of the sport. He started with a 39-point team and took them to a 119-point team and a Stanley Cup Championship this season.
