The Calgary Flames have some big decisions to make this summer. Two key members of their roster in Matthew Tkachuk (RFA) and Johnny Gaudreau (UFA) are in need of new contracts, but the latter of whom is reportedly undecided on if he will stay in Calgary.

During Insider Trading late this week, TSN's Pierre LeBrun mentioned that Johnny Gaudreau hasn't decided if he will accept or decline the Flames' latest offer and that there hasn't been a whole lot of conversations going on between the two sides.

"It is status quo in that I'm told (as of now), Johnny Gaudreau remains undecided about the offer from the Calgary Flames," LeBrun said. "His camp has not communicated to the Flames one way or another where this is headed at this point."

The 28-year-old has set himself up for a big payday, whether that be from the Calgary Flames or on the open market on July 13th. Gaudreau had the best season of his career in 2021-22, putting up 115 points (40 goals, 75 assists), 26 penalty minutes and was a plus-64. He then went on to add fourteen points in twelve games during the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
