Depth forward Brad Malone signs multi-year extension with Edmonton

According to David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, the Edmonton Oilers have signed depth forward Brad Malone to a two-year, two-way contract worth $1.525 million ($762 500 AAV).

Malone, 33, has spent the last five seasons in the Edmonton Oilers organization, mostly with their American Hockey League affiliate, the Bakersfield Condors. For the last two seasons, Malone has served as captain of the Condors.

The Miramichi (New Brunswick) native played in eight games this season for the Oilers where he had two points (one goal, one assist), two penalty minutes and was a minus-two. Malone also appeared in two games in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
