There had been plenty of speculation it would happen after bowing out much earlier in the playoffs than management and fans had hoped. Now, we have confirmation. The Florida Panthers have made some major changes behind the bench. Gone are assistant coaches Ulf Samuelsson and Derek MacKenzie. The team has decided to hang on to fellow assistant Tuomo Ruutu.
Many are asking what the decision is on head coach Andrew Brunette. Right now, he doesn't have a contract. While Florida has not said he's not returning, they've haven't expressed any interest in keeping him. This seems like a good indication that more changes are coming.
