Oilers captain Connor McDavid scored the overtime winner in Game 5 to record his twelfth point of the series and 26th of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. McDavid's superstar teammate, Leon Draisaitl, is also sitting at 26 points following an incredible 17 points in five games against the Flames.
After the game, Hockey Hall of Famer Teemu Selanne took to Twitter to give praise to McDavid.
What McDavid has done in these playoffs is nothing short of special and Leon Draisaitl deserves a ton of credit as well. The two-headed monster in Edmonton is ready to take this team to the next level and is ready for their next challenge in the Western Conference Final, where the Oilers could be facing off against Nathan MacKinnon and the Colorado Avalanche.
👏👏👏NHL playoffs have been exactly as good as we thought, so many unbelievable games and so many great players playing 💪💪💪 and how good is Connor McDavid, his body language is that he is willing to win the games by himself if he has to ,by far the best player in this planet😊 Teemu Selanne (@TeemuSel8nne) May 27, 2022
