ESPN's Newest Documentary About the Avalanche/Red Wings Rivalry Looks Insane
Hockey's greatest rivalry, possibly even the greatest rivalry in sport, is getting its own ESPN 30-for-30. 30-for-30s are arguably the top sports-related docu-series running today. ESPN released a trailer today & it gave me chills. It featured every key figure from the infamous series one could want out of a documentary of the bloodbath 1997 series. Lemieux, McCarty, Draper, Roy, you name him he's in it.

Set to release in June, the two-hour documentary looks like must-watch TV. The notoriety of the rivalry needs not be explained, but the buzz lives on 25 years later. You just don't see these types of hated, violent anymore. That's probably for the best in terms of 'society' or whatever. But it's nearly as entertaining.
