The 2022 NHL Entry Draft is less than seven weeks away and today we're going to take a stab at doing a mock draft for the top-fifteen. This year's draft is fairly strong, with solid prospects available from 1 through 20-22. Beyond that, the skill level does drop off a bit, as it does every year, but there are some gems to keep an eye on in late in the first round and throughout the rest of the draft.

1) Montreal Canadiens - Shane Wright (Kingston - OHL)
2) New Jersey Devils - Juraj Slafkovsky (TPS - Liiga)
3) Arizona Coyotes - Logan Cooley (USA U-18 - NTDP)
4) Seattle Kraken - Simon Nemec (HK Nitra - Slovak Extraliga)
5) Philadelphia Flyers - Joakim Kemell (JYP - Liiga)
6) Columbus Blue Jackets - David Jiricek (HC Plzen - Czech Extraliga)
7) Ottawa Senators - Cutter Gauthier (USA U-18 - NTDP)
8) Detroit Red Wings - Matthew Savoie (Winnipeg - WHL)
9) Buffalo Sabres - Marco Kasper (Rogle BK - SHL)
10) Anaheim Ducks - Jonathan Lekkerimaki (Djurgarden -SHL)
11) San Jose Sharks - Pavel Mintyukov (Saginaw - OHL)
12) Columbus Blue Jackets - Conor Geekie (Winnipeg - WHL)
13) New York Islanders - Lian Bischel (Leksand - SHL)
14) Winnipeg Jets - Danila Yurov (Magnitogorsk - KHL)
15) Vancouver Canucks - Liam Ohgren (Djurgarden Jr. - Swe-Jr.)

Others to watch: Brad Lambert (Pelicans - Liiga), Jiri Kulich (Karlovy Vary - Czech Extraliga), Kevin Korchinski (Seattle - WHL), Topias Leinonen (JYP Jr. - Fin-Jr.), Isaac Howard (USA U-18 - NTDP).

Stay tuned for our final mock draft in early-July where each of the writers from Markerzone.com will select their top ten!
