Mitch Marner is breaking his silence following what must have been a pretty nerve-wracking incident for him. Just 48 hours after the Toronto Maple Leafs were eliminated from the 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs in the first round, Marner was carjacked at gun-point by three people. One of them also had a knife. Marner was not physically hurt in the incident and police said the three did not target Marner specifically. Still, many were wondering what he himself would have to say.
It's a nice gesture from a guy who's been having a terrible week. Toronto's seven game series against the Tampa Bay Lightning must have been exhausting, physically and mentally. This was something he really didn't need. According to the last update from Toronto Police, no arrests had been made.
