After a marathon in Game 1, here are some notes leading into Game 2 of the Metropolitan division matchup tonight between the Pittsburgh Penguins and New York Rangers:

Penguins' forward Rickard Rakell and goaltender Casey DeSmith will not play tonight. Both players are listed as day to day. Defenseman Brian Dumoulin is out as well.

Louis Domingue will make his first playoff start and third playoff appearance.

Jason Zucker will be a game time decision.

The Penguins activated defenseman Nathan Beaulieu off injured-reserved. He has not yet suited up for a game with the Penguins since being acquired via trade from the Winnipeg Jets this season.

Ryan Lindgren is out of the lineup for Game 2 after leaving Game 1 for a brief period of time after blocking a shot. F Barclay Goodrow is out as well.

Igor Sheskterin is unsurprisingly the Rangers' starting goaltender.

Rangers coach Gerard Gallant cancelled the team's practice yesterday, opting to give his players more rest after the grueling 3OT game on Tuesday night. Gallant and the Rangers are looking forward to Game 2, rather than looking back on their Game 1 loss.
