In his season ending media availability, Philadelphia Flyers General Manager Chuck Fletcher gave an update on defenceman Samuel Morin, and it's something no one wanted to hear.

Fletcher said that Morin will not be able to continue his career due to the damage in his knee. Prior to this season, Morin had already suffered two torn ACL's and then injured his knee once again back in September.

"During his media address, PHI GM Chuck Fletcher said Samuel Morin will not be able to continue his career because there is too much damage to the knee. Team will discuss a job in the organization. Tough to see, Morin put in the work to come back time after time." Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman said.

Morin, 26, was drafted by the Flyers back in 2013 with the eleventh overall pick. He went on to appear in 29 games in the NHL throughout his career, recording one goal, 45 penalty minutes, and was a minus-ten.
