The Winnipeg Jets fall short once again, so it appears the strain is starting to wear on those within the Jets organization. Teams held exit interviews today, and today longtime Jet Mark Scheifele gave an honest, but revealing answer in his:

He's referring to his exit interview with GM Kevin Cheveldayoff. The Jets' vibe is pretty bad right now; the head coach steps down, the team misses the playoffs, players are vocally not happy. And after all that they're stuck in Winnipeg...

One could make the case that Cheveldayoff is on his way out too, but that remains to be seen. He has a decent record as the Jets' GM, but not a whole lot of playoff success, which is the ultimate determinant. However, recruiting players to Winnipeg can't be easy, so his job is naturally a bit harder than his larger markets' counterparts.

Tough to say which direction Winnipeg goes, but it will surely be interesting.
