A Montreal Canadiens fan attending Saturday's match in Toronto & his son had a pretty eventful pre-game.
Nick Suzuki being the earnest, kind individual that he is offered a young fan a hockey puck during warm-ups. The young man in question failed to catch the puck & incidentally suffered a small cut when the puck hit him in the face.
Suzuki was visibly concerned for the young Hab fan & immediately went to offer his aid. After he ensured the kid's recovery, he offered an olive branch of sorts.
He offered the young man a stick from his personal inventory, a signed puck & as per his father, a fat lip.
Controversy ensued, however, as the family was forced to choose between Suzuki's hockey stick or staying for the game.
That is right, Scotiabank Arena personnel kicked a kid & his family out because the stick was considered a weapon. Wow...
This is a brutal look for the Leafs & their staff.
Not to be overshadowed by that incredibly lame conclusion to this story is Nick Suzuki's character. He is a professional through & through, and he is going to be a leader for this Canadiens club for a long time.
