Power, 19, decided to return to the University of Michigan for a second season, instead of turning pro and joining the Sabres last fall. His decision was a smart one, as Power played extremely well for the University of Michigan, as well as Canada at the cancelled World Juniors and 2022 Winter Olympics in China.
In 33 games this season for the University of Michigan, Power put up 33 points (three goals, 29 assists), twelve penalty minutes, and was a plus-27.
