After seemingly being injured in a fight versus Mathew Dumba earlier in the week versus the Minnesota Wild, Nathan MacKinnon is expected to play tonight in the Avs matchup against the San Jose Sharks.

According to head coach Jared Bednar, MacKinnon will be in the lineup, and he has reportedly been practicing just fine. He was seen firing pucks with full force and nothing seemed to be bothering the star center.

MacKinnon seemed like he was going to be dealing with a serious long-term injury to his hand, but apparently that is not the case. Of course, the Avalanche could be playing him injured, but that seems pointless considering their playoff chances are all but locked.

The 26-year-old has 70 points (22 goals, 48 assists) in 51 games this season, but has had to deal with some nagging injuries along the way.
