The San Jose Sharks announced on Sunday night that defenseman and alternate captain Mario Ferraro will miss at least 6-8 weeks due to an injury sustained Saturday night in a 3-1 loss versus the Boston Bruins.
Ferraro was injured in an awkward collision with the boards with Bruins forward Taylor Hall right behind him. There wasn't a ton of contact, but Hall appears to clip him slightly and push him down and towards the boards, where Ferraro collided feet first. He broke his leg in the fall and required surgery to repair it. The video can be seen below.
