By pretty much all accounts on social media from fans and analysts, Edmonton played a good game against the Tampa Bay Lightning Wednesday night, but simply did not get the saves they needed from veteran goaltender Mike Smith. However, it appears Smith doesn't necessarily see it that way, despite letting in four goals on 22 shots for the .818 save percentage in the 5-3 loss.

As you can see and hear in the video below, after one of the goals, Smith decided to ream out his blueline, specifically Edmonton's young defenders, essentially blaming them for Tampa's goal.

It's very clear that the Oilers need stable goaltending if the hope is to make a playoff run. Right now, Smith and Miko Koskinen just aren't getting it done, regardless of what Smith believes is the reason behind it.
