Dubnyk gets emotional with media; wife suffering from serious medical issues

Minnesota Wild starting goaltender Devin Dubnyk got emotional with the press this week, as he told the media that his wife and mother of their three children, Jennifer Dubnyk is dealing with some very serious medical issues.

Dubnyk stated that it’s been a ‘scary week’ since he and the Wild returned home from Buffalo last Tuesday following their 4-1 win.

He also told the press that he’ll be meeting with Wild head coach Bruce Boudreau to generate a plan regarding how to handle the coming weeks.

The Minnesota Wild are set to leave for a three-game road trip on Monday, however, Dubnyk noted that he is unsure he is comfortable leaving Jennifer and their three children behind given the current circumstances.

While there is currently very limited information on Jennifer’s condition, her loving husband told the press that the Dubnyk family are extremely grateful for the support they’ve received from family, friends, fans, teammates and the Minnesota Wild organization.
