Montreal Canadiens defenseman Noah Juulsen received some great news Friday. After an on-ice session at the Habs practice facility, the 22-year-old was given the all clear to start playing again. He was sent to Laval to start a conditioning stint.

Juulsen missed most of training camp and all of the preseason in September after he, his agent and the team decided it was time for him to seek a second opinion on headaches he had been experiencing. In November of 2018, Juulsen took two pucks to the face in the span of minutes during a game against Washington, suffering a facial fracture. While he did play in four games after that, he then missed the rest of the season due to the injury. According to Sportsnet's Eric Engels, a senior executive with the team told him that Juulsen did not suffer a concussion during the incident.

It's not likely he'll play for the Laval Rocket this weekend as the Canadiens are expected to take it slow with his comeback to the ice. Still, this is a very positive sign for the promising blueliner.
