This will be Garrison's first appearance back in North America after spending the second half of the 2018-19 season and 2019-20 season in the Swedish Hockey League with Djurgardens IF.
During his playing absence, Garrison returned to the University of Minnesota-Duluth to finish his degree and also served as an assistant coach for their men's hockey team.
Garrison, 37, has spent parts of eleven seasons in the National Hockey League playing for the Florida Panthers, Vancouver Canucks, Tampa Bay Lightning, Vegas Golden Knights, and Edmonton Oilers. In 555 career games, the White Rock, British Columbia native has 160 points (49 G, 111 A), 229 penalty minutes, and is a +36.
