The NHL season is roughly one-third of the way finished, and the Dallas Stars are still looking to find their true identity. The team currently sits 6th in the Central Division with 30 points (14-12-2) in 28 games which only places them ahead of the Chicago Blackhawks and Arizona Coyotes within the division.

Rick Bowness was asked before Saturday's game versus the Blackhawks on whether or not he still feels that his message and voice is still resonating in the Stars locker room, and Bowness had a very calm and unemotional response.

«Ya, we're competing. We're playing,» Bowness stated.

The Stars did end up defeating the Blackhawks 4-3 in overtime on Saturday night thanks to John Klingberg scoring his first goal of the season on the power play. It's a step in the right direction for the team, and it seemed that after the Tanner Kero hit, which caused him to be stretchered of the ice, that the team played with a lot more heart and emotion.
