This afternoon, the Tampa Bay Lightning updated the status of star centerman Brayden Point. After suffering an upper-body injury on Saturday night against the New Jersey Devils, Point will miss four-to-six weeks.
Point's injury occurred during the half-way point of the third period against New Jersey. He split the defence and went towards the net, and just before he shoots the puck, Devils defenceman Ryan Graves trips Point, causing the Lightning forward to crash into the boards.

The Lightning announced on Sunday that Point was still being evaluated and was out indefinitely. Point is now the second top six forward Tampa Bay is missing due to injury, after Nikita Kucherov was hurt only three games into the season and likely won't be back until after Christmas.
Point, 25, has appeared in sixteen games this season for the Lightning, recording thirteen points (seven goals, six assists), seven penalty minutes, and is a plus-two.
Brayden Point is expected to miss 4-6 weeks after suffering an upper body injury over the weekend.https://t.co/PsGg48bBpQ— Sportsnet (@Sportsnet) November 23, 2021
